Marketplace for Kids Education Days were created as an outreach program of Marketplace of Ideas. The first Marketplace for Kids event was held in Jamestown in 1995 and drew 600 participants. The purpose of the event was to provide a forum for young people to present and explain projects demonstrating critical thinking, innovation, and creative problem solving. Today, over 16,000 kids participate across the State of North Dakota in 10 different locations.
