2011 Young Enrepreneur of the Year

Alex Harris - Wilton was nominated to be the Young Entrepreneur of the Year for letting his mind run wild and using his imagination; and his abilities to solve problems and continuously innovate. Alex has created and displayed two projects through the Marketplace for Kids Education Day events, and has competed in two Bright Ideas Showcase and Contests. He received a 1st place award and the Innovation in Technology Award in 2011 with is invention, the Helmet Airbag. Alex joined us in 2011 with his Waste Energy Thermoelectric Recovery System. Advice to Alex from the review panel: Keep Innovating!

Students!   Marketplace for Kids is your program!  The innovation in your projects is the highlight of your Education Day! The projects you display are exciting.  They show your creativity and problem solving ideas. Please let us know if you need help!

Your ideas for classes and the opening and closing rallies are also very important to us! We do look at your ideas on the Report Cards that you send us, but please know that we would love to hear from you more often.

  • Please give us your class ideas, opening and closing rally ideas and/or any other ideas you have for Marketplace for Kids! Click here to send us your ideas!
