Marketplace for Kids seeks to prepare the next generation of entrepreneurs and skilled workers for success.

Marketplace for Kids provides learning services/activities for teachers, youth groups, parents, and students by providing classes and activities designed to help students discover entrepreneurship, explore career fields and new technology, and develop self-employment, financial literacy and leadership skills. Students create a business or invention model, and present their model at a regional Marketplace for Kids Education Day. In addition to students showcasing their business/invention model, they also attend short, hands-on classes/activities. Although we encourage students to create a business/invention model, it is not required to participate in an Education Day. Students without models may attend. They will attend an additional class and have an opportunity to view the business/invention models.

By providing entrepreneurial learning, we are assisting students in improving their economic future. Other positive outcomes include:

  • Improved academic performance,
  • Increased problem-solving and decision-making abilities,
  • Improved interpersonal relationships,
  • Learn teamwork, money management, and public speaking skills,
  • Create job awareness, and
  • Enhanced self-esteem.

We do not know which of our students will become the next successful entrepreneur. We do believe that the dispositions, habits, skills, and knowledge they acquire through the Marketplace for Kids program, will benefit everyone. We believe the qualities of an entrepreneur are also the key to success in any situation… school, work, personal, and in LIFE!

Our website is designed to be a comprehensive information resource for the Marketplace for Kids program. If you can’t find what you are looking for, please Contact Us.
